Meet the new Algarve
These massive forts in Portugal will blow your mind!

The Azores never fail to amaze

The Azores: Even if the legend is untrue that the mid-Atlantic Azores islands are actually the mountaintops of the lost continent of Atlantis, there is no doubt that the Azores – just four hours flight from the East Coast of the U.S. -- are a delight waiting to be discovered by increasing numbers of Americans. Nine islands offer a bevy of contrasts – and yet each island can provide enough magic and style for a single vacation. From Terceira’s town of Angra do Heroismo, a World Heritage Site, to the lakes, villages, beaches, quaint towns, historic churches, fishing harbors and museums of all nine islands, the Azores are considered by many travel specialists as one of the world’s most exciting “new” destinations.
