The best cheese you never heard of.... Rabaçal

Rabaçal cheese is an old tradition made in a small town near Penela, in the District of Coimbra, Portugal. It is a DOC-type designation of origin in accordance with European Union standards. And it is damn good. It can be enjoyed like entrance, dessert or like light meal.

Made with sheep and goat's milk, Rabaçal is a cured cheese, semi soft, white paste or slightly yellowish and uniform. Its

Rabaçal has lots of great sites cheeses like  Condeixa-a-Velha, Ega, Furadouro, Vila Seca and Zambujal, as well as in the counties of Soure , Alvaiázere, Ansião and Pombal.
