Terra Nostra Garden Hotel reopens to the public

Terra Nostra Garden Hotel, recognized as one of the most famous hotels on the Azores, reopens after renovation as one of the top hotels in the country.

If you are a “nature” lover, this is the perfect spot. Condé Nast Traveler has considered the hotel location as one of the World’s best “Green Retreats” – the Terra Nostra 18th century garden has a breathtaking atmosphere of rare and exotic plants with fountains and sculpture.

Located in Furnas Valley, on S. Miguel Island, the hotel opened 1935, and now it  reopens with the same charming aura after a complete makeover. With 86 rooms split between two buildings, maintaining its architectural history: the Art Deco Wing, built in the 1930’s and the Garden Wing, added in the 1990’s.

The hotel’s interior design concept is inspired in Art Deco style sprinkled with contemporary elements and materials. The new Wellness areas also got improved, making it a perfect spot for a relaxing getaway.

The Terra Nostra Garden Hotel also highlights the Azorean products, specially the Furnas Cozido - a sustainable meal fully cooked underground with the heat of the volcanic hot springs. Discover the Azorean flavors at the restaurant paired with different wines.

An opportunity to have an unforgettable wellness experience while enjoying the best that nature has to offer (and remember to dip in the outdoor hot spring water pool).
