US market continues to grow to the Azores

The Portuguese National Tourist Office – Turismo de Portugal and the Bank of Portugal have released new data concerning the revenues from January to March 2014 in comparison with the same period in the previous year showing a 3.1% increase in overnight guests – on top of very strong growth in 2013. The numbers show the Azores with an increase of 32.9% in US guests and a growth in US overnights around 35%.

 

According to the data released, Americans are starting to explore other regions beyond Lisbon. Guests and overnights in the regions of the Norte, Centro, Alentejo, Algarve and the Azores showed signs of real growth.
