Fornos de Algodres, Portugal -The stylish Manor House that belonged to the Cáceres family for more than five generations is now the setting to the newest Inn in the small, charming village of Fornos de Algodres. After four years of refurbishment works, the Solar dos Cáceres in the Centro region of Portugal, Dão wine country, was opened this year with eight guest rooms (5 double standard and 3 double twin), an outdoor swimming pool, a Jacuzzi and Bar.

The Solar dos Cáceres’ main building dates back from the 15^th Century and it is located 12 miles from the picturesque mountains of Serra da Estrela, Portugal’s biggest range. Its rural setting contributes to the tranquility and quietness that one can experience when visiting the Inn and the region.

The new architectural setting designed for Solar dos Cáceres includes a large green area with plenty of trees and flowers, which will soon be covered in white snow. All of the interiors were designed to highlight its former splendor with elegant details.

The Manor House is also equipped with an elevator, parking, free Wi-Fi and bike rentals for its guests. Solar dos Cáceres organizes outdoor and leisure activities that visitors may choose from, depending of the time of the year.

The Restaurant, soon to be opened, will offer the finest delicacies starting with the regional Dão wine or the cheese from Serra da Estrela. Also, perfect for the upcoming winter months guests can experience typical Portuguese classic dishes food as roasted lamb, veal or the famous and delicious “enchidos”.

The Solar dos Cáceres was opened with a total financial investment of 1 million euros and will play a major role to attract more visitors to the region.
