San Payo Convent, a unique and unforgettable place where art and nature are in perfect harmony

This country inn set in the Northern town of Vila Nova de Cerveira (Minho), the San Payo Convent is housed in a former Franciscan monastery.  Completely remodeled in 2015 to welcome guest with all the comforts and style of the setting. And, it is home to the workshop of sculptor José Rodrigues with a museum highlighting his private collection of modern art, as well as sacred and Eastern art.
The monastery is situated in a prime location in the middle of the mountains with a view over the River Minho. It has amenities to offer  guests a memorable stay (outdoor swimming pool, barbecue area, several gardens with sculptures, as well as a private forest with two lakes where once can ancient  oak trees). Entrance to the museum is also included in the rate.
