April 29, 2016
After Croatia, Malta, Croatia, Island, and other European countries, the HBO famous TV series landed in Portugal’s neighbor Spain. The Long Bridge of Volantis… That’s Cordoba. Oldtown and parts of Bravoos… Girona. But what about Portugal? What if Portugal was the background scenery of the new season of Game Of Thrones?
This was the PulmanStudios idea to surprise the legions of Portuguese fans and enthusiastic of the most successful series of North American channel HBO. The video, which has been spread by social networks in the past few hours, shows true Portuguese symbols - such as the Pena Palace, the statue of King D. Afonso Henriques, the Douro region or the Clérigos Tower featuring scenes of Game of Thrones.
The highlight has to go to the giant Barcelos rooster, replacing the statue of Titan at the entrance of Braavos…. Is Game of Thrones really in Portugal? No, but how great would it be if that was true?
