Portugal olive oil stand with the world’s best, taking home 20 awards at The 2016 New York International Olive Oil Competition. In the world's best extra virgin olive oils for 2016, Portugal won in three categories: Best in Class (1), Golden Award (14) and Silver Award (5).
The big winner was Casa de Santo Amaro, named “Best in Class” after taking the Silver award in the year before. The other Portuguese brands awarded Olive Oils were:
