Bacalhau à Lagareiro - Portuguese for yummy!

Bacalhau à Lagareiro,  Cod in Olive Oil, comes from the Centro Region of Portugal. Its name comes from the tradition of being roasted in ashes of olive oil presses by workers during olive oil season. It is fire-roasted with potatoes and onions - so they are crispy and hot. Then the grilled fillet of salt cod is served with raw garlic and soaked in fresh olive oil. Boom!
