Brave enough to climb Porto’s Ponte da Arrábida?
Miranda do Douro - you have not been, but need to go!

The most awarded “Blue Flag" beach in the world is in Portugal

Praia de Mira (Centro) is the first beach in the world to be awarded the Blue Flag for 30 years in a row. With the first recognition back in 1987, the beach - located near Aveiro - is now the only one to hold, for this long, a Blue Flag title - that recognizes the beaches’ quality.

The celebration of this historic moment will be completed with the construction of a memorial and with the hanging of the 30 blue flags achieved over the years.

Praia da Marinha is one of the 332 awarded sites in the country. Portugal ranks 6th place in the world with the most awarded sites, being overtaken by Italy (5th) Greece (4th), Turkey (3rd), France (2nd) and Spain (1st). For the full ranking visit: http://www.blueflag.global/all-bf-sites/
