Global Traveler ranks TAP Portugal among the world’s best airlines for wines in annual tasting

New York, NY--TAP Portugal, Portugal’s leading airline, has been recognized by Global Traveler, a magazine for business and luxury travelers, for it in-flight wines in the 2016 Wines on the Wing Airline Wine Competition.
In the Best International Business Class White Wine category, 1st place was awarded to the Paulo Laureano Reserva 2014, Alentejo, served on TAP Portugal. For the Best International Business Class Red Wine category TAP Portugal took 2nd place with Churchill’s Estates Grande Reserva 2011, Douro.
Airlines were required to submit five different wines to be tasted. Global Traveler, the only AAM-audited U.S.-based magazine for the international business traveler, is a business travel and lifestyle publication with an audited paid circulation of more than 111,000.
Portugal has more than 200 indigenous grapes. Portuguese wines offer a new fresh taste of different grape varieties that are just now coming on the world wine stage.
