The second ever of ARCO Lisboa International Contemporary Art Fair will be held on May 18^th-21^st, upon request of the Portuguese galleries and intends to take advantage of the presence of an international audience resident in Lisbon. The second edition will return to Cordoaria Nacional in Lisbon, in a similar format to that of 2016.

The general interest of the international public about Lisbon and Portugal guaranteed the success of the first edition. And it is, therefore, a determining factor for ARCO to be held annually in Portugal, at the same time of the year, in the same venue, in the premises of the former Cordoaria Nacional and in the same format - a boutique fair - suitable to the Portuguese and Iberian market .

Currently, the edition of the Portuguese capital boasts the presence of almost 50 galleries, which represents about a quarter of the Madrid’s edition, which has 200 galleries this year, matching the needs of its own market.

According to data from last year, ARCO was attended by more than 12,800 visitors and the involved 45 galleries from eight countries, of which 18 were Portuguese.
