Six Hotels in Portugal that could be in a Wes Andersen movie

The " Isle of Dogs" is coming to the theatres and we took a opportunity to flashback to Wes Andersen movies that most mark his style to find out which Portuguese hotels that would be perfectly suitable as the background for his films.

The Grand Budapest Hotel vintage and luxurious rooms and the irreverence of Monsieur Gustave could have inspired one of this places:

1. Hotel Astoria, Coimbra

With a view towards the river, it preserves a grand style since its opening in 1926 - and we are told it is haunted...

2. Hotel Avenida Palace, Lisbon:

Classic, old school stylish, right downtown — and great service!

3. Vidago Palace Hotel, North:

A reborn classic, very 19th century, stylish old school!

6. The Yeatman Hotel, Porto

Inspired in the Douro's wineries, the ceramic tiles, picturesque carpets and vintage couches provide it an authentic character.
