Tour Through Portugal to Feature Former Obama White House Photographer

A new travel tour is giving photography buffs the opportunity see Portugal’s scenic sites through the eyes of the photographer who took some of the most iconic and defining photographs of Barack Obama’s presidency.
Sagres Vacations is offering a Photo Tour of Portugal with Pete Souza for people with an interest in photography at all levels. Scheduled for September 2-12, 2019, the tour will visit the Porto, the wine region of the Douro Valley, Lisbon and the island of São Miguel in the Azores. Souza will provide hands-on training, with ample opportunity to capture scenic shots from unique angles and during the Golden Hour.
Souza is a Massachusetts native of Portuguese ancestry who served as the official White House photographer during the presidencies of Ronald Regan and Obama. His career spans 40 years, having published seven books on photography and gained more than 2 million followers on Instagram. His worked helped define the Obama’s presidency – and now he will take guests on an exclusive trip to his ancestral homeland.
