A recent issue of the Travel + Leisure Magazine, focused on The World's Best Awards 2018, selected the world's best Hotels, Cities, Cruises, Airlines and more.

TOP 10 EUROPEAN CITIES

The TOP 10 cities include both Porto and Lisbon. Porto comes in 4th right after Florence, Rome and Istambul, and Lisbon comes in 8th.

Porto has been coming up as a hot destination 3 hours away from the capital. The city has been growing and a great investment in recovering its historica buildings, attracting young visitors or promoting tourism to the Douro Valley have helped put the city on the map.

TOP 10 EUROPEAN ISLANDS

The Azores are also on the spotlight as the 3rd island on the TOP 10 islands list. The archipelago is a natural wonder in the middle of the Atlantic, even though many travelers are not quite aware of its beauty.  Its volcanic islands are slowly becoming trendy as the island preserves its natural parks, the hot springs, the trails along the lakes or the local traditions (as cooking the cozido under the ground).
