If you want to see the real Portugal and get away from the crowds, there are several ways to do it. How to see the real Portugal? Here are some ideas to skip the lines and experience what makes Portugal so wonderful!

Getting off of the beaten path means having social experiences, avoiding lines and souvenir shops and getting to meet real folks who are just glad to share with you their love of a beautiful country.

  1. Explore the countryside: Portugal is a country with a rich history and culture, and the countryside is full of hidden gems waiting to be discovered.   5. Visit during the offseason: Portugal can get very crowded during the summer months, especially in popular tourist destinations. Consider visiting during the offseason (September through May) when there are fewer tourists and you can enjoy the country's beauty without the crowds.
